dc.descriptionAgriculture fanned an important part of the subsistence system of the prehistoric: Yuman-speaking peoples who lived along or near the lower Colorado River.  Some recent scholars have argued that the Yumans of nnorthwestern Baja California and southwestern California also practiced agriculture prehistorically. A critical review of the evidence fills to fails any substantial support for that conclusion.en-US
