Curriculum Challenges in Times of Pandemic: Disruptive Innovation and Technologies for Inclusion and Social Justice

dc.descriptionThis article analyzes the role played by the school curriculum and the challenges faced in designing and implementing it in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. We describe the experiences of some curriculum actors and argue there is a need to promote disruptive innovation in education and in the curriculum, especially in Mexico and Latin America. Specialized literature and reports by international organizations serve to open up a debate on the use of ICT, online education, and other media and communications resources as cultural artifacts that may or may not gain meaning based on a specific sociocultural context and practices. The lack of social justice and inclusion in education is discussed, as is the emergence of new subjectivities and curricular alternatives.en-US
dc.descriptionEn el presente artículo se analiza el papel y los retos que enfrenta la concepción y práctica del currículo escolar en el contexto de la pandemia generada por el COVID-19. Se recuperan algunas vivencias de los actores del currículo y se argumenta la necesidad de promover la innovación disruptiva en la educación y en el currículo, sobre todo en el caso de México y la región latinoamericana. Con base en la literatura especializada y reportes de organismos internacionales se abre un debate en torno al empleo de las TIC, de la educación en línea y del uso de otros recursos mediáticos y comunicativos en su cualidad de artefactos culturales, que pueden o no cobrar sentido en función de un contexto y prácticas socioculturales específicas. Se plantea la falta de justicia social e inclusión educativa, así como la emergencia de nuevas subjetividades y alternativas curriculares.es-ES
