dc.descriptionThis paper describes the labor mobility of a group of Mexican migrant workers that are permanent legal residents in the city of Caléxico, Ca. USA. Since the beginnings of the XX century, this city has been a settlement of immigrants from different countries, among them stands out the Mexican immigrant group that, legally or illegally, has arrived to work temporal or permanently. In order to have and approach to the study of the labor milility of the immigrant workers and identify some situations that made it possible, this paper presents an overview of the historic events that favored the immigration of Mexican workers to this city as well as their participation in the labor market.en-US
dc.descriptionAquí se describe la movilidad laboral de un grupo de trabajadores migrantes mexicanos residentes legales que viven de manera permanente en la ciudad de Caléxico, California, Estados Unidos. Esta ciudad desde principios del siglo XX se ha caracterizado por ser un asentamiento de inmigrantes de diferentes nacionalidades, de ellas sobresale el grupo de inmigrantes mexicanos que de forma legal, o indocumentada, han llegado a trabajar de manera temporal o permanente. En este trabajo se presentan, de manera general, tanto las causas que históricamente originaron la inmigración de trabajadores mexicanos a esta localidad como su participación en el mercado laboral, con el objetivo de aproximarnos al estudio de la movilidad laboral del trabajador inmigrante e identificar algunos factores que intervinieron para que se llevara a cabo.es-ES
